Which is why I stated 2 times in the post that I can't speak for one Russian and certainly not the Russian people.

However, having lived there on and off for 2 years and being around the culture, I can certainly give an opinion. You don't have to be able to "represent" the American people, nor my wife "represent" the Russian people in order to be able to make a call on the direction of their culture. In Russia, nationalism in the last 20 years has trended up in popularity, LGBTQ rights have trended down, immigration has trended down, Christianity has trended up. Those aren't opinions. Those are facts. Their culture has gone that direction, and like I wrote, I don't have to have a Russian wife to know that. Living there for 2 years, it was clearly obvious.
